I built StenoDesk because I needed it in my own reporting practice. I had jobs in one place, deadlines somewhere else, agency rate sheets to keep straight, editors to coordinate, invoices to send, files everywhere, and spreadsheets holding too much of it together. None of those tools were built around the way court reporters actually work.
So that is still the test: a feature earns its place when it solves a problem a reporter actually runs into on a real job.
