Proofing tools

A second read that thinks like a reporter.

Built on real proofing methodology, not a generic spell checker. It reads the final ASCII line by line, cites page and line for every flag, and leaves the verbatim record alone.

How it works

Action first, noise last.

Each finding tells you what to do with it and how serious it is, so you can clear a transcript top to bottom without second-guessing the tool.

Verify before flag. If it cannot tie a finding to a specific page and line, it does not surface it. No "possibly," no hedging.
Fix vs. double-check. High-confidence mechanical fixes are grouped apart from anything that touches meaning, names, numbers, or dates.
Substance vs. mechanics. Filter to substance only for a fast rough-draft pass, or see everything for certification.
Your house style. Double-hyphens over em dashes, a.m./p.m. casing by context, exhibit notation, your spellings, every run.

FOR PLAINTIFF:FOR APPLICANT: (WCAB caption)
Tuned to the work

It knows depositions, not just English.

Forum aware

It reads the caption first and applies the right rules: WCAB applicant and defendant labels, civil plaintiff and defendant, interpreter renderings treated as verbatim.

Source-of-truth spellings

Your case glossary becomes the authority. Names already matching the glossary are never flagged; known mis-renders are caught and corrected to your spelling.

Deterministic checks

Day-of-week against the calendar and CSR number consistency are computed exactly, not guessed, so the obvious things never slip.

Verbatim, always

It suggests, you decide. A speaker error is flagged for review, never silently rewritten. The record stays the record.

Page and line citations

Every finding points to an exact coordinate and shows the surrounding lines, so you can jump straight to it in your CAT software.

Built for trust

One canonical correction per term across the whole run, no contradictory suggestions, and no flags where nothing actually changes.

Proof faster, with fewer second guesses.
